The sciences of language have experienced different epistemological movements, from language analysis – where language is considered as an autonomous structure- to the analysis of language practices as rooted in social reality. these movements have to be continued. to understand the multimodal resources used by speakers to interact, it is necessary to establish a realistic scientific basis.
