In this article, the author examines the emergence and evolution of solidarity movements in Athens in response to economic crises and austerity policies. She analyzes how these movements have reinvented social rights through collective action focused on satisfying basic needs and democratization, while highlighting the contradictions linked to their recognition by the European Union.
