Putting an end to anxiogenic architecture
Sadoun, Patrick
Putting an end to anxiogenic architecture - 2016.
49
Architecture should be suited to the people for whom it is designed. Until a few years ago, this was unfortunately almost never the case for institutions intended for persons with autism. Disturbed by this observation, Patrick Sadoun, the father of an autistic young man, began a meticulous research process in order to develop architectural recommendations that could inform and guide those in charge of building the institution that would host his son. This text, full of humor and emotion, is his testimony of a moving and instructive experience.
