This article proposes to analyze the impact of the digital revolution on the adolescent perception of school and career counseling. In a way, the development of technological tools as a support for counseling seems to help the building of the adolescents’ self-image, who can find opportunities to experiment with different ways of looking into the future. However, by granting a new place to knowledge and by limiting the deployment of speech, the disorientation of adolescents can be avoided. Rather than seeing a simple evolution of digital practices, we should acknowledge a deep change in the apprehension of counseling, which resonates with the new social relations determined by our contemporary society.
