In this article, the author analyses the functions of dreams in the family and in the couple. She highlights the fact that dreams can lend themselves to different uses and meanings that can be evaluated in collective sessions. She particularly illustrates two different possibilities through practical examples from two case studies. Dreams are not only the expression of the individual, but also that of the family group which the person belongs to and for which he or she is the spokesperson.
