91
Based on unpublished archival work, this article uncovers Canguilhem’s deep reading of Freud and the latent dialogue he maintained with psychoanalysis. This reading sheds light on his thought regarding error and life, and supports an analysis of the foundations of the scientistic Weltanschauung, understood as a mortiferous worldview where the ideal of mastery leads to the erasure of the subject, the devaluation of desire, and the deployment of a rationality governed by the death drive.
