In the summer of 1942, the French government negotiated the delivery of 10,000 Jews from the “free” zone. This included children whom the Nazis did not want. Nearly a hundred of them were deported from the Les Milles camp, and it was thought that none of them had returned from Auschwitz. We report on the research carried out over the past 15 years into their names and fates, based on the work of Serge Klarsfeld.
