36
This paper presents the first results obtained from a study of the history of the term “weblog” and its first dissemination (1992–2003), which progressively led to a specific social practice. Analysis of previous filiations of this practice, those who named, promoted, and defended it, shows discursive conflicts between actors. It leads the author to offer an avenue of specific research centered on the concept of “strategic dialogism,” inspired by Moirand and Bakhtine. This concept allows consideration of social practices on the Web from a sociohistorical perspective.
