This study adopts a femininity-oriented approach to look at the experience of treating the difficulties and vicissitudes of motherhood. Regressive narcissistic movements involving identificatory or super-egotistical states can lead to psychotic disorganization or major post-partum depression. They reveal breaches in the construction of feminine identity and of femininity.
