Mais aussi, et c’est moins aperçu, la vie consacrée va là où va l’Église, le devenir de l’une étant, même et surtout en Occident, inséparable de l’avenir de l’autre. Au terme, on indique encore comment la vie consacrée peut se trouver au cœur du monde que nous aimons. The A. asks a question which echoes the title of her recent book : Whereto the consecrated life ? The answer is : It goes to God’s very heart where it has always found itself. It goes also there (although this might seem less obvious) where the Church goes : the future of the consecrated life, even and uppermost in the West, is inseparable of the Church’s future. It remains to show how the consecrated life can find itself in the heart of the world which we love.
