Sociological neo-institutionalism - 2021.

36

In this research, we have chosen to combine the contributions of neo-institutional sociological theory (DiMaggio and Powell 1983; Fligstein 1998; Leca, Julie, and Boxenbaum 2008) and the contributions of research into the “denaturation” of SMEs (Julien 1994; Julien and Marchesnay 1996; Torres 1999) in order to develop a conceptual framework that focuses on the collective approach to disseminating CSR in SMEs. A review of the literature on collective strategies (Yami 2003; Levy, Loebbecke, and Powell 2003; Morris, Koçak, and Özer 2007; Gnyawali and Park 2009) was necessary to understand how the collective approach could be a vector for the strategic integration of the principles of CSR in SMEs.
