Telehealth as a technological and social innovation is one of the potential responses to the need to improve efficiency in the healthcare system. It makes it possible to change the dominant paradigm of the care pathway by responding to a new social need while controlling costs. However, numerous studies have shown that different barriers hinder telehealth adoption. Through an integrated theoretical perspective and by considering technological and social innovations as interdependent constructs, this study seeks to identify levers that could overcome the barriers to its adoption. Our results allow us to identify and understand the barriers to the adoption of the telehealth cabin. Then, to formulate propositions encouraging its adoption, thus contributing to existing theories on innovation management and healthcare management.
