We do not choose to be a social worker because we saw that a light was on in a Regional Institute of Social Work (IRTS) and decided to investigate. Our commitment arises from our background. For my part, it arose from political convictions which, over the years, were questioned, shaken, and sometimes rejected. Today, my commitment continues to involve a political aspect. However, it is more centered on preserving the original values of social work rather than on the realization of a life plan within society.
