This article presents a piece of action research connecting the regional Council of Ille-et-Vilaine and the research and study center for training and social action of Bretagne (PREFAS Bretagne),Askoria. The object of this action research in Child welfare focused on the “strengthening of socio-educational prevention strategy and the encouragement of alternative modes of action in placements.” After having clarified the institutional context and research method, the main teachings and associated perspectives will be examined.
