The authors explore the institutional violence taking place in organisations offering socio-educational support or in the daily round of young individuals stigmatised on the basis of their skin colour. The proposed elements confirm or reveal the violence that is present in the functioning of different institutions, through their failings and the action or abstention of certain members of their staff. The analysis of the social situations proposed is intended to shed light on the processes at work and to enable us to think about social action.
