This article aims to emphasize the importance of an etiological approach by illustrating it with a clinical case. The complex care path in this case raises the issue of factors of social, psychological, and biological vulnerability. Taking this into consideration will contribute toward achieving diagnostic and therapeutic coherence in the face of an acute, heterogeneous, and diffuse symptomatology. Training caregiver teams to seek this stability within the instability of symptoms would help combine prevention and adapted psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological approaches.
