The proposed article is a call for the creation and continuous updating of databases in order to enable comparative analysis of managerial practices in African companies over time and space. Indeed, the abundant academic research over the last three decades shows the difficulty of working on managerial practices without a reliable database. One of the main difficulties encountered was the method of selecting samples.
