We compare the ways researchers in the teaching of mathematics and the teaching of French report statistical analysis in their scientific writings. Studying alternatively the statistical treatments used, the representations chosen, and the links between statistical and didactical analyses, we show that these writings are really similar for what they do not treat and rather different in terms of the functions devoted to statistical results.
