Moments of conviviality in working-class neighborhoods can be considered under the seal of celebration and human “communion”, but they are often invested with a normative aspect - living well together - by public authorities, via the Neighbors’ Day in particular, which weakens the convivial and common scope of these initiatives. It is then a question of acting on the inhabitants and not with them in order to normalize human relations to the detriment of social transformation.
