To what extent does the important reform of the French mining code, part of the “Climat et Résilience” law, help to meet the challenge of the ecological transition? On the one hand, we note that the economic development of mining resources is not sufficiently oriented toward the energy transition. On the other hand, regulations regarding the negative effects of mining have been strengthened, but only relatively so.
