In the next part of the article on family time, we tackle the question of perpetuation and transformation of family heritage. Our point of view is dialectic, and it involves the person and their membership group. First of all, we explain how the person, through the cycle of the gift, can detach from the family heritage to gain existence. Afterwards, we show how, at group level, myths, rituals, scripts, and atmosphere are part of the family’s stability as well as the change of its culture. Finally, we tackle the question of dynamism and rigidity of the environment: when and under which conditions will the family be an improvisation and creativity space for its members?
