The article studies cannabis production related knowledge development and circulation. Focusing on the flows between Ketama and Amsterdam, it stresses the characteristics of transnational actors, smugglers and knowledge developers. It also shows how, despite their fundamental differences, the two cannabis cultivation regions are connected. Finally, the article focuses on the methods of diffusion, carried out openly in a context of tolerance, or under the seal of secrecy in a climate of repression.
