This article focuses on the effects of dependency at work inside the psychiatric institution, dependency created by the institutional system itself. Although required in order to initiate the therapeutic work, it may happen that the institution, by a totalizing posture, produces the patients’ dependency ( addicto productive institution) and prevents them from any possibility of psychological autonomy.
