The authors of the DSM, under the pretext of avoiding theory, offer a classification based solely on the idea that mental “troubles” are equivalent to organic troubles, so the nosographic categories are defined according to their response to the effect of such and such molecule. But treatment usually combines molecules and non-drug therapies, namely cognitive and behavior therapy. But these therapeutic techniques forget the subjective dimension and are likely to produce new transferential conditions due to the exposure they receive in the media.
