Interventions with Adoptive Parents - 2011.

2

For more than two decades, English-speaking countries have been developing a preventive and/or therapeutic approach in order to provide adoptive parents with various programs to improve the child’s attachment. Three sets of questions assess this practice: the aims of the programs, the specific challenges for the adoptees and adopters, and the methods to implement the aims. This questioning leads to a checklist of areas to focus on in designing an original program to assist adoptive parents.
