Family psychoanalysts proposed different keys to analyse the link between the family members and their trans-generational objects. The author suggests approaching the « genealogical reliquary » as one of them as a digest of family and genealogical memory. Therefore, each attitude towards this reliquary becomes a tell-tale sign. To throw light on this subject thanks to cultural references and genosociograms of a Tunisian couple, the author wants to show how the « relic-objects » are always mingled with a « prosopopeian fantasy », accentuated by a sociocultural context that especially venerates ancestors, proffering, hence, new analysis perspectives for decrypting this constantly resuscitated share of the ancestor.
