The author sets out to clarify the notion of psychic fecundity in group work in institutions and from an institutional intervention clinic. After highlighting some of the upheavals faced by teams “working together” today and the subsequent changes for those involved, fecundity is defined as being a product of the link resulting from a group mentality. By taking this into account, teams suffering from disengagement and disinvestment in their relationship with the group can be transformed.
