Les individus font face à des défis et à des enjeux relatifs aux contextes de vulnérabilité dans lesquels ils évoluent (économique, relationnel, personnel, culturel). La présente étude qualitative examine la nature des contextes de vulnérabilité spécifiques aux pères et beaux-pères vivant en famille recomposée et aux pères dont l’ex-conjointe a recomposé une famille. À partir du point de vue d’intervenants travaillant auprès de ces pères et beaux-pères, l’étude s’est également intéressée aux besoins de ces hommes en lien avec les services qui leur sont offerts au Québec. Les résultats ont permis d’élaborer un modèle dynamique des différents contextes de vulnérabilité auxquels les pères et beaux-pères sont soumis lorsqu’il y a recomposition de la famille. De plus, les services qui leur sont proposés comportent certaines lacunes qui sont discutées dans le cadre de cet article. Individuals confront challenges and issues relating to the economic, relational, personal and cultural contexts of vulnerability in which they live out their lives. The present qualitative study examines the nature of the contexts of vulnerability specific to fathers and step-fathers living in blended families and fathers whose ex-partner has reconstituted a family. From the perspective of agents working with such fathers and step-fathers, the study also addressed the needs of such men with respect to the services that are available to them in Quebec. The results allowed a dynamic model of the various contexts of vulnerability to which the fathers and step-fathers are exposed, when there is reconstitution of the family, to be developed. Further to this, certain failings in the services offered them are also discussed within the scope of the article.
