With long term convicts, the clinician is confronted with major difficulties characterised by a refusal to be committed in a process of psychic working. This item describes how imprisonment turns out to reinforce the defensive process of denial triggering of the repression of affects. So obtained by these specific processes, the erasing of the patient subjectivity cuts him off from the part of his self, which is at the root of thought. Consequently, the major psychological problem does not belong to the diagnosis, but is located in the research of the adequate conditions of the unfolding of the patient subjectivity. And thus, any therapeutic approach is to go through a deep rooted alteration of the effect of the splitting ego. To do so, we should inject some dynamism in the corporal sensitivity thanks to a pattern of creative activities.
