Based on his knowledge and methods, the social psychology researcher, can knowingly modify the individuals’ attitudes and behaviors and, in this way, alter a relationship between the Ego and the object (Moscovici, 1984). If goals seek to intentionally produce a social modification, one must analyze the justification, or the social utility. To represent this, we looked at social representations of economic growth and decline where we reached unexpected results.
