“Heaven is where dead people live”: Discussion groups for bereaved children - 2016.

The authors describe how bereaved children not only need to disinvest the lost object (as Freud names this process the “work of mourning”) but they also face an overall psychological and somatic regression in order to reconstruct themselves. The body mediation and discussion groups complete what words have to offer for elaborating on loss and death. The authors discuss how these tools help restore the various psychological and somatic bases altered by grief. They demonstrate how these mediations help express suffering and how their mental processing assists the patients in reinstating their narcissistic and physical identity.
