The Code of Criminal Procedure specifies that the investigation has as its goal the positivist notion of “revealing the truth.” On the contrary, we propose that what is constructed in this process should be analyzed as a fiction with several authors: the police, the prosecution, and psychiatric medicine. For the social psychologist, the interest is in the social representations about gender.
