Are initial sex assignment and self-experienced gender reassignment based on an essentialist conception of sexuation? Do they share the idea that each sexuated position, within the conventional binarity, corresponds to an adapted morphology? Do they diagnose normality or pathology when they interpret the appearance of external genitalia within an ideological apparatus that reduces sexuality to reproduction? Does the attempt to make the image of the body equal to the gender experienced not perform a normalization, thus giving intelligibility to human bodies that don’t correspond to the models?
