In Amazonia, multi-sited household patterns articulate relationships between urban and rural areas. New configurations of this type raise the question of links between territoriality and resource management. This papers shows how, in the region of Cruzeiro do Sul (Acre, Brazil), agrobiodiversity flows and exchanges among farmers materialize the appropriation of space, the maintenance of a collective culture and a shared 'making of place'. Exchange networks reveal parallel processes of collective placement and individual displacement in the agricultural frontier zones. They also demonstrate the existence of collective management of biological resources alongside private ownership of means of production.
