Using two fictional excerpts from the diaries of two teenage girls, the author highlights the difficulties experienced by teenagers, and their educators, during lockdown. These include loneliness, the challenging of sometimes unstable equilibria, anxiety in the face of an uncertain future and in the face of adults who are themselves anxious and uneasy. These situations disturb the whole organization of bonds and belonging, the basis of our existence.
