This article deals with the shift in the concept of social autonomy, from the health field to the social field, which remains relevant when we seek to understand how people on the margins of society perceive their place and their relationship with their support. This shift from the paradigm of care to that of support sheds light on previously unnoticed dimensions, and allows us to consider the reconciliation of the figure of the individual-actor and that of the autonomous individual.
