Taking up the myth of Œdipus, the author states that, at the beginning there is a secret that bothers all concerned actors. It is the secret about the real origins of Œdipus and the hidden fault of his father Laïos. Every child tries to understand his or her origins and the symbolic meaning of his or her existence. If there are secrets in his history, he is going to question them, through acts or symptoms. Therefore, is it good to tell the truth all the time? A clinical example of a teenager is used to illustrate this hypothesis.
