The Role of the Institution Today

The Role of the Institution Today - 2008.
80
The institution is a symbolic system necessary for the socialization and the subjectivation of individuals. The crisis of the institutions should be regarded as a crisis related to the values and the moral principles toward which we still have an ambivalent attitude. With respect to the growing complexity of the institutional systems (network occupation, teamwork, rights of examination for the users, for the people in charge of the appraisal and the financing), the weight of the personal responsibility of the institution’s members is undermined. Today, it seems urgent to reactivate our relationship to these ideals and to create a childhood policy based on the conditions of the possibilities linked to the infantile experience. Otherwise, backward or even reactionary speeches would arise.
