Is Transmission Possible in Psychoanalysis?
Lauru, Didier
Is Transmission Possible in Psychoanalysis? - 2017.
48
The training of the psychoanalyst and the issue of transmission have been at the heart of the debates between psychoanalysts since its origin. The author refers to the relationship between Freud and Ferenczi, the enfant terrible of psychoanalysis, as an example of a complicated but possible transmission between psychoanalysts. Later on, by suggesting the procedure of the “pass” to question the passage of the analysand to analyst, Lacan tried to renew the forms of transmission between analysts and the training of the psychoanalyst. Could it be said that the analyst is in continuous ongoing training ?
