The health crisis of covid-19 has been an unprecedented experience involving a two-month lockdown during which we had to reinvent our ways of living and working. This article describes the arrangements set up to ensure continued care for thirty-five children suffering from autistic spectrum disorders, who are usually cared for day-by-day in a day hospital. The closure of the institution’s doors obliged the team to offer other ways of containing and supporting these patients and their families. Likewise, the team had to find ways of continuing to think collectively about the psychic movements of young patients and the institutional dynamics at work in this particular period.
