Hatred is an essential affect that we come across frequently in our clinical work with adolescents. It can be in the form of self-hatred or of hatred for others, which gives rise to very varied clinical situations, often involving acting out. Hainamoration is a clinical fact that consists in the coexistence of love and hate in the same subject. Analytic therapy is an interesting approach for helping adolescents think about their violence and the origins of their hatred.
