Sports activities are subject to a significant feminization except for a few disciplines characterized by significant risk taking. These disciplines that mobilize strength and physical confrontation belong traditionally to « men’s sports ». Risk taking in sport both determines the social relations between the sexes and gives sense to the activity practiced. This article shows that it is more appropriate to speak of a viril domination than of a male one.
