The number of aging migrants is increasing in France because many do not return to countries of origin, especially those who have come from north Africa. Elderly men living alone have been the main object of research for a long time, but recent research has focused on those who age while living with their family, and on elderly women living alone. Living standards, life trajectories, and gender are the main causes of the differences observed among aging migrants. This article analyzes three main categories of aging migrants.
