"Conflicts in the psychoanalytical movement have mainly revolved around the issue of transmission. In the IPA, the question of didactic analysis has proven to be crucial in recent decades; and the option of a “French model” is now official, and tends to separate, as much as possible, the training-analyst’s personal analysis from the psychoanalytic institute. Is it not necessary for any generational transmission that the procreator’s control and narcissistic issues be sufficiently reduced by a detachment that opens the way for the “new subjects” creativity?
