While psychotropics can be of recourse in cases of extreme distress, their plethoric use in a world which is oriented towards an imaginary and democratic happiness is a false solution to the malaise that affects everyone. Medication is an attempt to erase lack and its abuse brings about a debilitation of subjects. This occurs by modifying the play of the neurotransmitters which are the material support of unconscious thought. Putting together cerebral functioning and the subject represents the ideological underpinning of these medical practices. This goes against the subject of the unconscious, which obeys the laws of language, heterogeneous to the functioning of the life.
