The author draws on her experience as a trainer in Gestalt-therapy, mainly in Spain, to give shape to what seems essential in the training process. In the dynamic process of figure/background, the author explores the various aspects that come to the forefront (figure) during training : the acquisition of theoretical resources, life experiences, values, community belonging, social and political function of the therapist. She ends by asking a more general look at the training function.
