The long excerpts here from F. Jullien’s lecture convey the liveliness of his thought, which he shared with us live on March 14, 2020. Based on his experience, as a European philosopher, with the radical otherness of the Chinese language, he evokes what the ability to go outside of his own thinking has brought him. What leads him towards his favorite themes since this immersion experience in an untranslatable thought: living or existing, the unheard-of or unprecedented and the de-coincidence, the access to the unheard-of through poetry, the unheard-of of the other… A powerful approach which can’t leave any Gestalt therapist feeling indifferent.
