At the service of neoliberal ideology, the principles of new public management are invading social and socio-medical structures and are now interfering with the core of youth support Institutions. By focusing on the implementation of single-service delivery, this article highlights the existence of a conflict between the quality of work and design criteria amongst early childhood professionals centered on the relational dimension of the profession, and the institution, which now only targets quality through quantified indicators.
