Very few activities carry the national ensign as the airline companies do, and everything shows it: history, name or branding, planes “livery”, destinations and shareholding. But for the last thirty years the airline companies have been facing deregulation, privatization and have had to adapt to globalization. P. Biplan exhibits the way in which the sector found solutions, especially through alliances, to manage two of the demands: the nation’s demand and the globalization demand.
