Society expects the information and communication sciences to take the form of a technology. Beyond the need to break from this conception, the objects of research retain something from the technical objects which are their points of departure. These sciences don’t focus on their technical aspect, but the objects are approached as heterogeneous and complex devices, «objective» communicational processes.
